The latest update for Legacy: Steel & Sorcery is finally here. The Shadow's Reach introduces a lot of new content for everyone to enjoy. One of the highlights is the arrival of sorcery through the new Wizard class.
The Wizard is able to cast powerful spells from a distance while being able to rewind time. They can also look for powerful Spell Scrolls which can unlock new abilities. That's not all since the Wizard also brings their first weapon which is the Emberstaff.
Dawnhammer Crypt
In addition to a new class, there's also new maps added. The first is the Dawnhammer Crypt. This was once a revered sanctuary of the noble Dawnhammer Paladins but has since fallen into darkness. It's become a haunted crypt that's crawling with Undead and challenging the bravest of adventurers. Those who are brave enough to take on the challenge and succeed can discover untold riches and rare resources.
The Dawnhammer Crypt is meant for smaller corridor gameplay. For Season 1, it’s intended to be the most hardcore experience in the game.
Greenwood Night
Another map is Greenwood Night. It's a place where, when night falls, bandits stalk travelers, ghosts whisper to roam, and undead grow bold and vicious. As the name implited, it’s the nighttime version of Greenwood. This map is for players who have at least Common (White) gear and above. Other details are:
- New and increased loot and resource nodes (Wood, Ore) of higher quality than normal Greenwood.
- New and different player extracts than normal Greenwood.
- Different encounters and creatures for the player's experience.
Weekly Quests
Another new feature is the Weekly Quests. These reset each week so there's always something to look forward to for all players. With this new feature now live, the quest to kill Mor'thog has been moved from the Campaign and is now a Weekly Quest feature. Rewards for successfully finishing this quest include a chance at Rare (Blue) and up quality items that previously were looted from Mor'thog's cache when slain.
In the past, players were able to kill Mor'thog continually and have a chance to obtain high-quality loot each time. The change means players now have a weekly quest to kill him and aren't incentivized to continually “farm” him.
